Follow the Starfish!

Take a leisurely journey and let our dancing starfish show you the way along Vancouver Island's scenic Oceanside Route, Highway 19A.

What better way to see Vancouver Island than touring along this scenic drive for a morning, afternoon ... or longer. Here, you'll discover three unique destinations each set amidst Vancouver Island's stunning ocean-to-mountain scenery.

From the south, meander through the picturesque Oceanside communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach, where views stretch across sandy beaches, the Strait of Georgia and beyond. Mid-route, the Comox Valley spreads below the glistening Comox Glacier, alongside the sea and into the farmlands of Merville and Black Creek. Discover secluded Miracle and Saratoga Beaches, then drive by the water again at Oyster Bay. At the north end of the Oceanside Route, ocean and island scenery welcomes you to Campbell River.

Look for the official Oceanside Route "starfish" signs as you're heading north on the Island Highway 19 near Parksville or at any marked exit along the way.
